Amy and Chris share their experience having a child born with Prader-Willi Syndrome, a disease that prevents the brain from getting proper cues from the stomach resulting in hyperphagia (the inability to feel full and satiated from eating). This life threatening disease can lead to developmental issue, severe mood alteration and extreme desperation when it comes to food and eating. Through a clinical trial, this family was able to find a life saving drug for PWS that gave their child a new lease on life.
