Patrick James Lynch is an award-winning filmmaker, patient advocate, and co-founder and CEO of Believe Limited, a healthcare storytelling studio and production company. Living with severe hemophilia A, Patrick brings lived experience and 15 years of creative leadership to work that makes complex science and health experiences more human, understandable, and meaningful. Under his leadership, Believe was named a 2024 Fierce Pharma Agency of the Year finalist.
Patrick’s film credits include Bombardier Blood, executive produced by Alex Borstein; My Beautiful Sutter, executive produced by Mariska Hargitay and Paul Rudd; the Academy Award-shortlisted sometimes, i think about dying; On the Shoulders of Giants; Dismissed; Deliver Us; and the forthcoming Ryan White documentary Poster Child. His work also includes the award-winning series Stop the Bleeding! and Beyond Our Blood, as well as programs such as Portraits of Progress, Hemophilia: The Musical, and Speak Up, Speak Out: Cystinosis and Me.
Patrick created and leads BloodStream Media, Believe Limited’s branded podcast network serving rare disease communities, and is the creator and host of its flagship show, The BloodStream Podcast. He is also the founding board president of Entertainment 2 Affect Change, a nonprofit organization supporting filmmakers who use storytelling to drive social impact. A National Organization for Rare Disorders Rare Impact Award honoree, Patrick has delivered more than 100 health advocacy presentations around the world. His work and advocacy have been featured by the BBC, CBS, Forbes, Fox News, NBC, NPR, PBS, Reuters, Variety, and other media outlets.
